Luckily we had a really lazy day planned
We met up at 9 and went for breakfast - only to find that nothing opens on a Sunday before 10 so we decided to find the theatre for this evening’s show
The tube stations here are enormous and double as shopping malls so that the multiple exits from any one stations can be hundreds of yards apart
We went into one such station and walked for fully 15 minutes before getting out at exit 8, right in front of the theatre (well, close enough)
Then we went back and right by the coffee place we wanted to use we found a food hall where you can order multiple nationalities of cuisine and sit down together and eat it
Perfect for tonight
We had croissants for breakfast but they didn’t have butter or jam - this country is just crazy
As we believed that most shops weren’t going to be open until lunch time, we retired to the hotel for an hour or so - I just passed out
For lunch we headed into Myeongdong
We found a Korean / Chinese place and took a chance
We ordered noodles plus sweet and sour pork with rice
They had no western cutlery
Kieren was incredible
Harriet also fared well
And as we can see from the shirt, Joss fared less well
So, while Joss and Kieren went back to the hotel to change (Kieren dropped a noodle in a place you wouldn’t want a stain) Hattie and I went shopping
I say we both did, but really I traipsed behind her while she spent the national debt of Bolivia on shoes and t-shirts
We all met up later and shopped some more (I bought Korean metal chopsticks) before heading back to the hotel to get changed for the 6pm show called JUMP - and acrobatic / comedy / karate show
It was good and the guys were clearly very talented, but I think we’d been spoiled by the Nanta show yesterday as none of us thought it was as good as that
Immediately after the show came the high / low point of the day
As it ended they announced that the cast would be available to do a signing after the show
We had great seats near the front so were one of the last to leave
We found just outside the entire cast sat down in a line behind a velvet rope, each primed and ready with a pen
As we walked past, trying not to make eye contact, not one person was asking for an autograph
We got out he final door and burst out laughing
I thought the gay talk on the previous tour was a toe curler but this aced that 😂
We headed then to the food hall only to find it was sold out / closing
Bloody Sundays
We did find a chicken place though and went there instead
They brought us complimentary crisps to share while we waited but one of us didn’t share....
Hahaha
A quiet, relaxing day - just what the doctor ordered
